Chili Spiced Beef and Bean Stew

Ingredients
1cuponions, chopped
1poundground beef
1poundpork sausage
1cupwater
28oztomatoes, can, whole
16ozkidney beans, can
15oztomato sauce, can
12oztomato paste, can
2tablespoonchili powder
1tablespoonbasil, leaves
1teaspoonoregano, leaves
1teaspoonpepper
1/2teaspoonsalt
3tcmustard, dijon country-style
8ozspaghetti, uncooked

Directions:

In large skillet cook onions, beef and sausage over medium heat until meat is browned (10 to 12 minutes); pour off fat. Meanwhile, in dutch oven combine remaining ingredients EXCEPT spaghetti. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to low; add browned meat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until stew is thickened (20 to 30 minutes). Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Serve stew over spaghetti.

Makes 6 servings.
