Tikka Chicken

Ingredients
 

1 1/2 lb chicken breasts (boneless and skinl, ess)
1 medium onion
3 cloves garlic
1 inch piece fresh ginger
1/4 cup plain yogurt
2 tsp white vinegar
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 salt (optional)
1 lemon juice
1 garam masala
1 lettuce leaves
1 onion rings
1 lemon wedges

Preparation
 
Cut the chicken into 2-inch squares and press flat. Grind the onion,
garlic, and ginger to a paste and mix with the yogurt. Add the
vinegar and spices, and rub into the chicken well. Leave for 3 hours
to marinate. Sprinkle the chicken with salt if you wish and thread
onto skewers. Place under a hot broiler or over a barbecue and cook
until tender and crisp. Sprinkle the chicken with lemon juice and
garam masala and serve on a bed of lettuce leaves surrounded with
onion rings and lemon wedges.

Toovar Dal
Wash & clean the dal throughly and leave to soak for one hour. Wash it againin one or two changes of water and then place it in a saucepan with one pint of water. Wash the drumsticks and cut into two in. long pieces. Add this to the dal with the curry leaves, the salt, chopp (Upload by user)

Traditional Side Dish
