Honey Baked Apples

Ingredients
 

6 large baking apples
3 tbsp walnuts, chopped
3 tbsp raisins
1 cup ; water
1/3 cup honey
1 each 3-inch stick cinnamon
1 tbsp lemon juice

Preparation
 
Core apples; peel top third of each. Place apples in a shallow
baking dish. Combine walnuts and raisins; stuff cavities of apples
with nut mixture.
Combine water, honey, and cinnamon in a small saucepan; bring to a
boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in
lemon juice. Remove cinnamon stick; pour liquid over apples. Cover
and bake at 350 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes or until apples are
tender, basting occasionally. Yield: 6 servings.
