Creole Chicken/Crockpot
Ingredients | |||
1 | each | frying chicken, cut up | |
1 | each | green pepper, chopped | |
6 | each | green onions, chopped | |
1 | each | can tomatoes (16 ounces) undrained | |
1 | each | can tomato paste (6 ounces) | |
1/4 | pound | ham, cubed | |
1 | teaspoon | salt | |
1 | hot pepper sauce, to taste | ||
1/2 | pound | smoked sausage, sliced | |
3 | cup | rice, cooked | |
Directions: | |||
In the crockpot, combine the chicken, pepper, onions, tomatoes, tomato paste, ham, salt, and pepper sauce. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. Turn control to high and add sausage and cooked rice. Cover and cook on high for 15 to 20 minutes. |
