Chicken& Dumplins`
1 chicken -- stewed 1/2 stick margarine Dumplins 1/2 cup flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 cup chicken broth -- from stewed chicken Stew Chicken and margarine (may use butter) until tender. Remove bones. Reserve liquids. Combine dumplin` ingredients until all well blended. Roll onto lightly floured board. Cut into strips. Then into squares. Bring liquid in chicken to a boil. Drop dumplins` into liquid. Let stew about 10 - 20 minutes, covered. Do not remove lid. Description: "Southern" |
