Angel Hair Tomato Basil Toss
| Ingredients | |||
| 1/2 | cup | oil, olive | |
| 2 | each | garlic cloves, minced | |
| 1/4 | cup | sliced green onions | |
| 3 | each | tomatoes, large, peeled and diced | |
| 2 | tablespoon | basil, fresh, chopped | |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | pepper | |
| 1/2 | pound | angel hair pasta, uncooked | |
| 1 | parmesan cheese, grated | ||
| 6 | each | bacon, slices, cooked, crumbled or | |
| 1 | cup | ham, cooked, chopped or | |
| 1 | cup | chicken, cooked, chopped or | |
| 1 | cup | turkey, cooked, chopped | |
Directions: | |||
In large skillet, heat oil. Add garlic and green onions, stir-fry for one minute. Stir in tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper; cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. Toss tomato mixture with hot pasta, adding any cooked meats at this time. Serve immediately. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. | |||
