Good Neighbor Hummus

Ingredients
 

3 cup garbanzo beans - 2 16 oz. cans - ri, nsed and drained
1/2 cup tahini
7 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce - preferably ta, mari
4 large garlic cloves - crushed or minced
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 portion olive oil
1 (opt l. but i wld. include)
1 portion paprika
1 (opt l. but i wld. include)
1 portion chopped parsley
1 (opt l. but i wld. include)

Preparation
  Put beans, tahini, lemon juice, 1/4 c. olive oil, tamari, garlic and
peppers in food processor; blend to desired smoothness. Transfer to
serving bowl.

Drizzle top with olive oil; sprinkle with paprika and parsley if
desired.

Note: In her column notes, Colombo mentions that chili paste can be
purchased at Oriental food markets. This recipe makes no mention of
chili paste, although it was an ingredient in the Good Neighbor
Szechuan noodles. Seeing as how I think Good Neighbor may have "held
back" a little bit on this recipe (they wouldn t give it out for
years, as it s one of their best sellers), you may also want to
experiment and add a little chili paste to this recipe, which does
have a slight bite to it when purchased at Good Neighbors.

Absolutely great with unsalted blue corn chips! Have eaten many times
but haven t made at home yet. It s delicious, and sells for
$4.50/lb. at Good Neighbors.

Halloween Green Slime

Ham Cheese Rillette
Place ham, eggs, cream cheese, mustard, mushrooms and onion in a food processor and process, using a pulsing action. Do not puree. Pack mixture in one or two small crocks and cover with a thin layer of melted butter. Refrigerate overnight. Serve with warm buttermilk biscuits. br (Upload by user)

Harlequin Dip

Homemade Herbed Cheese
*Choose a combination that includes chervil, chives, parsley, tarragon, marjoram or basil. Pick over herbs, removing any coarse stems; wash well and pat dry. Place herbs and garlic pieces in a food processor fitted with a steel knife. Process several seconds until minced. Ad (Upload by user)

Hommous Chick Pea Dip

Horseradish Cheese Spread
