Filet Mignon with Pasilla Chile Bbq Sauce(Gc)
4 filet mignon steaks --8 ounces each salt & freshly ground black pepper -- to taste --pasilla chile bbq sauce-- 1 1/2 cup new mexicostyle bbq sauce -- recipe follows 2 tablespoons maple syrup 2 tablespoons pasilla chile powder 1/4 cup chopped cilantro Mix all ingredients well and marinate filets for 1 hour. Prepare a wood or charcoal grill and let burn down to embers. Remove filets from BBQ sauce and cook on grill for 4 minutes on each side for medium rare.
