Kiss Cookies
1 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 3/4 cups flour 1 cup walnuts,finely chopped 9 ounces milk chocolate kisses (about 36) confectioners` sugar (optional) In large bowl, cream butter,sugar and vanilla; add flour and walnuts. Beat on low speed with electric mixer until thoroughly mixed. Cover and chill. Preheat oven 375 degrees. Wrap each kiss with about 1 tablespoon dought, covering each candy completely. Roll each between palms to form a ball. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake about 10 minutes, until center of cookies look set and edges are light brown. May roll in confectioners`s sugar while warm. Cool on wire racks. Store in tins or airtight containers. Yield 3 dozen |
