Belgian Loaf

Ingredients
 

1 cup sugar
1 cup raisins
1 cup milk
1/4 lb shortening
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda

Preparation
 
in saucepan put first 4 ingredients and bring to a boil, cool. Then
stir in 1 egg, then the dry ingredients, mix in 2nd. cup of flour.
Bake at 350 for
45 min.
