Basil Cheese Dumplings

Ingredients
 

1 tbsp butter or margarine
1 tbsp fresh chives, snipped -or-
1 tbsp green onion, sliced
1/2 tsp dried basil leaf
1/2 cup creamed cottage cheese (4oz)
1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder

Preparation
 
Melt butter or margarine in a small skillet. Add chives or green
onion and basil. Cook, Stirring constantly, until herbs soften.
Remove skillet from heat. Stir in cottrage cheese; set aside. Sift
together flour, salt and baking powder into a medium bowl. Add
cottage-cheese mixture. Stir until combined. Drop by rounded
teaspoonfuls into simmering soup. Cover soup and simmer until
dumpling are firms, about
15 minutes. Makes about 12.
