Pimento Cheese Spread

1 small can evaporated milk
1/2 pound cheese, shredded
1 small jar pimentos, mashed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 heaping tablespoon mayonnaisePlace milk in top of a double boiler. Just as the water in the bottom of the boiler begins to boil, add cheese to milk. When it starts to thicken, remove from heat. Store in the refrigerator.
