Mexican Cowboy Stew

4 tablespoons shortening or bacon grease
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 pounds cubed beef
1 small can stewed tomatoes
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons hot chili sauce
4 tablespoons molasses
2 small cans mushrooms
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepperPour bacon grease into large skillet. Add onions and meat and then brown. Add remaining ingredients and cook for 1 1/2 hours over low heat.
