Chocolate Hanukkah Stars

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Confectioners` sugar to decorateBeat together butter, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.Separately, stir together dry ingredients (except confectioners` sugar), then beat into creamed mixture until well blended. Cover; chill until firm enough to handle.On lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8-inch thick. Cut with a star (of David) shape cookie cutter. Bake at 350 degrees F for 5 to 7 minutes or until no imprint remains when touched lightly. Cool for 1 minute before removing from pan.When completely cooled, sprinkle with confectioners` sugar.Yield: about 4 dozen
